A Nature Based System - (NBS) Approach to Concrete-Free Wastewater Treatment
Instead of traditional treatment tanks, RapidSTP™ uses engineered treatment ponds lined with HDPE geomembrane liners to safely store and treat wastewater. Within these lined ponds, wastewater is treated through carefully designed anaerobic and aerobic treatment zones.

Engineered Treatment Ponds
Instead of constructing concrete treatment tanks, RapidSTP™ uses lined treatment ponds with HDPE geomembrane liners. These liners ensure safe containment of wastewater while significantly reducing construction time and cost.
Anaerobic Treatment Zone
Wastewater initially enters an anaerobic zone where microorganisms degrade organic matter in the absence of oxygen. This stage helps reduce the organic load and stabilizes wastewater before further treatment.
Aerobic Treatment Zone
The wastewater then moves into an aerobic zone where aeration systems introduce oxygen, enabling aerobic microorganisms to break down remaining organic pollutants and improve treatment efficiency.
Ecological Polishing
Floating gardens and Ecocords are introduced to support microbial growth and plant-based nutrient uptake. These systems provide additional biological treatment while improving water clarity and ecosystem balance.
